This mature River Red Gum is a large example of the species as it is particularly tall. Although not a remnant specimen, it is highly likely to be self-seeded from other nearby remnant River Red Gums.

Located along the front boundary of a private property, the tree is a striking feature within the streetscape and makes a major contribution to the neighbourhood character. It offers significant canopy coverage and visual appeal, providing amenity to the community.

Being situated alongside the area of Boyd Park which contains other significant indigenous vegetation, this tree forms part of a vital native wildlife corridor providing habitat, roosting and feeding.
