Have your say on our draft 2024–25 Budget and Financial Plan

Now’s the chance for you to have your say on our draft 2024–25 Budget and Financial Plan.

We want our draft 2024–25 Budget and Financial Plan to strike the right balance between ambition for new initiatives, maintaining quality service delivery and remaining financially sustainable.

Our Budget and Financial Plan set aside funds for our climate emergency response, which includes investment in emissions reduction, urban greening, and transition to a circular economy.

We’ve allocated $35.4 million of new funding for asset renewals, upgrades, and expansions. The funds will go towards our renewal and upgrade of our major infrastructure assets, including road reconstruction, drainage improvement and footpaths.

We’ll also be funding our Open Space Strategy initiatives, including parks, playing surfaces and playground equipment.

We will continue to plant trees to increase canopy cover in our open spaces and carry out upgrades and renewals of community and sports facilities, including completing the Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool.

For the 2024–25 year, the Budget has been prepared in accordance with the State Government’s A Fair Go Rates System and the rate will increase by 2.75 per cent. We’re now seeking your feedback on whether our draft Budget meets your expectations and delivers what you want.
