Youth Excellence Awards

The Youth Excellence Awards Program is a Council initiative that aims to recognise young people aged between 10 and 25 who have achieved excellence.

Local Government Election Period 2024

Council elections in Victoria are held every four years. The upcoming election period will be from 12pm Tuesday 17 September until 6pm on Saturday 26 October 2024.

During this time there is a range of things that Council can and cannot do, in accordance with the Local Government Act 2020/003 and Council’s Election Period Policy. This includes restrictions around some of the decisions made and communication and advertising materials produced by Council to ensure they don’t contain or become matters that may affect voting at the election.

During the election period, Council’s Grants and Awards programs will remain open for applications. Applications will be accepted and assessed, however, outcomes will not be determined until the new Council is elected.

For more information contact the Community Grants team at communitygrants@gleneira.vic.gov.au or call 9524 3333.

The program supports young Glen Eira residents with opportunities so that they can continue to attain high results and improve in their chosen field. We recognise young people who have achieved excellence in the fields of:

  • creative and performing arts
  • education
  • leadership
  • sport.
