As part of our priority to maintain open spaces and recreation facilities, we are upgrading the sportsground lighting at Murrumbeena Park.  This will include installing 150 lux LED light globes around Oval 1 and 50 lux LED light globes around Oval 2.

These upgrades will enhance the sporting facilities for sports clubs and enable increased participation and sportsground usage. 

This project reflects our commitment to improving access, quality and safety at our recreation facilities. It also aligns with our commitment to upgrading infrastructure that supports gender equitable access and participation by women and girls in community sport.   

This project is being developed by Glen Eira City Council in partnership with the Australian Government.
