Cr Arabella Daniel

Jasper Ward — Councillor Arabella Daniel, was sworn in on Monday 18 November 2024.

Councillor Daniel has been a resident of Glen Eira for more than 20 years.

She lives in McKinnon, holds a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from the University of Melbourne and has enjoyed a decade-long career in telecommunications, taking on roles as a corporate customer project manager and communications.

Cr Daniel is passionate about air quality and air pollution impacts on community health, environment and climate. She founded community group Clean Air Communities and manages a discussion group called My Air Quality Australia to raise awareness about air pollution impacts on health, environment and climate. Her efforts have included submissions to government inquiries and consultations, participation in EPA Victoria’s Community Consultation Group, and recognition through a Glen Eira Sustainability Award nomination.  

Her vision is to enhance Glen Eira’s liveability through thoughtful planning that respects our heritage, greener spaces, health-focused initiatives, and a commitment to equity and inclusion.

Outside of Council, she spends her time gardening, cooking, the cinema and spending time with her family and rescue rabbits. She also served on the committee of the Friends of the Astor Association for over a decade.

She is serving her first term on Council.
