Cr Margaret Esakoff

Bambra Ward — Councillor Margaret Esakoff, was sworn in on Monday 18 November 2024.

Cr Esakoff is a long-time resident of Glen Eira.

She was educated in Glen Eira and has lived there almost all of her life.  She is married with two children and three grandchildren.

Cr Esakoff has a vast experience in business administration, having run a small business with her husband, as well as working in the publishing, advertising and radio and television industries.  

She is now serving her seventh term on Council, having served as Mayor in 2005, 2007, 2011, 2019/20 and 2020/21 and Deputy Mayor in 2008 and 2010.  

She now devotes her time to Council apart from her voluntary work in the community which has included Delivered Meals, Helmsmen Kiosk at Caulfield Hospital, Member of the Ethics Committee at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem and sat on the Committee of Management of CisVic (Community Information Glen Eira). She is also an Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Caulfield.

Cr Esakoff wants to see a safe, strong, healthy and caring community and is committed to improving quality of life and amenity for residents, takes a keen interest in all community issues and wants to see community satisfaction survey results continue to improve.
