This is a large & healthy example of a remnant indigenous species that could represent an important source of propagating stock. It provides a major contribution to the local landscape and is uniquely positioned within a dedicated feature garden along the boundary of Booran Road Reserve.

The tree has an estimated age range of 190 – 360 years, with a large impressive canopy and outstanding trunk girth over 4m in circumference. It is a well-formed example of the species with good foliage density that makes a substantial contribution to local amenity and the neighbourhood character. The tree is possibly the healthiest and most vigorous example of a remnant River Red Gum within Glen Eira and as an indigenous remnant tree, it is a vital resource for native wildlife.
