It is highly visible and iconic, with its position on the corner of a main road and opposite Caulfield Park making it a striking tree within the local landscape. It makes a major contribution to the neighbourhood character and provides significant amenity to the community.

The numerous hollows in this tree provide nesting sites for native wildlife and as a large flowering native tree it is a vital food resource.
