• Aesthetic value

Although English Oaks can grow much larger, this is a particularly large tree with a significant canopy spread for this local area of Bentleigh East which has relatively few mature canopy trees. The canopy of this tree reaches across four properties and provides significant shading during summer.

This is a particularly well-formed tree that makes a substantial contribution to the local area. It is visible from the nearby streets and the loss of this tree would be a loss of amenity for the neighbourhood.
