This large, established tree is one of 4 mature Blue Gums growing along with several other mature and semi-mature Spotted Gums and Willow Gums that are located along the western perimeter of the racetrack. It is the healthiest and most well-formed tree of the Blue Gums and the only free-standing tree growing as a solitary specimen, with all the other trees in the vicinity growing in liner groupings.

It is a tree of outstanding size with a tall, rounded and spreading canopy that is impressive within its surroundings. The tree provides substantial amenity to the community as its location offers significant visual appeal to the public visitors of the Racecourse and it makes a major contribution to the surrounding landscape.
