Cervical cancer screening

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers and can be successfully treated if detected early.

Screening is free and recommended every five years from age 25–74 years and a new self-screening procedure is now available. To find out more, ask your GP about self-collection or visit the Australian Government's Self-collection for the Cervical Screening Test webpage.

Preventing cervical cancer has never been easier or more accessible. For more information, visit the Cancer Council Victoria's Cervical screening webpage.

Human papillomavirus vaccine

Human papillomavirus (HPV) causes almost all cases of cervical cancer. Vaccination is a safe and effective way to protect you from HPV. The HPV vaccine is free for anyone up to the age of 25 years who have not yet been vaccinated.

Book your vaccination through our immunisation sessions.
