National Carers Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contribution that unpaid carers make to family members, friends, or neighbours — our local community.
National Carers Week — 13–19 October 2024
The theme for this year’s National Carers Week is Care For A Carer, encouraging you to think about how you can support a carer you know. You might show interest in their wellbeing and ask how you can help them, or you could offer them a break by planning a social activity or running errands for them. You might encourage self-care by going for a walk with them and offering a listening ear.
We are hosting a variety of activities and events during and beyond National Carers Week, and we invite carers who live or care in Glen Eira to come along, connect with other carers, and have some fun.
