Bundled branch collections:

We are experiencing delays to our bundled branch collections (including the collection of Christmas trees) due to many bookings over the holiday period. If your scheduled collection has been impacted, please leave it on your nature strip and it will be collected as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and apologise for any delays.

Possums

Like all other native animals, possums are protected under the Wildlife Act 1975. You must not harm possums in any way, and you can’t keep them without authority from the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.

Should I handle or remove possums?

It’s illegal to handle or interfere with possums, except when they’re in your roof or other buildings. Licensed wildlife controllers are the only people who should trap possums.

We don’t supply possum cages or collect or catch possums from homes. If you have a nuisance possum and need help to remove it, visit the Yellow pages website and type ‘possums’ and your postcode into their directory.

For further information, visit the possum page on the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning website.
