Some areas of Glen Eira are designated as flood-prone. If your property falls into that category it doesn't mean you can't build on it, but you do need to apply for a Flood Report. Learn more
Flood Report
What does flood-prone mean?
Flood-prone means that there's a 1 per cent probability of land flooding in any given year - in other words, a one-in-100-year flood event.
To find out if your land is subject to flooding from any of our drainage systems that restrict development, please call us on 9524 3333.
What is a Flood Report?
Under the Building Regulations 2018, we issue a Flood Report if we decide that an area in our drainage network is prone to flooding. We recommend that you get this report before starting design work on an allotment.
What is the cost of the Permit?
Permit fee: $153.70
