Bundled branch collections:

We are experiencing delays to our bundled branch collections (including the collection of Christmas trees) due to many bookings over the holiday period. If your scheduled collection has been impacted, please leave it on your nature strip and it will be collected as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and apologise for any delays.

Inspections and investigations

Our Urban Planning staff can conduct on-site inspections to assess planning permits. Planning Compliance Officers may also visit sites to investigate suspected planning breaches.

Planning inspections

Our Urban Planning staff conduct inspections to get a better understanding of development sites and their surrounds. This helps us and the Delegated Planning Forum to make the right decisions on planning permit applications.

Our staff must carry photo ID when entering private property.

For more information about inspections, call our Urban Planning team on 9524 3333.

Planning investigations

Our Planning Compliance Officers investigate properties to ascertain if they comply with the Glen Eira Planning Scheme and relevant planning legislation.

The main reasons for investigations are:

  • suspected breaches of the Glen Eira Planning Scheme or a Section 173 agreement.
  • non-compliance with the conditions of a Planning Permit, or suspected building works that differs with the endorsed plans of a development.

If we think you're unlikely to voluntarily comply with our requests within a satisfactory time, we'll move on to the enforcement process.
