Some beauty brands offer take-back schemes where you can return used beauty products in-store so they can be sorted and recycled.

Glass fragrance and nail polish bottles cannot be recycled in the yellow recycling bin. The glass used to manufacture these bottles melts differently than standard glass. Empty fragrance and nail polish bottles can be disposed of in the red general waste bin. 

Reuse tip: Many perfume houses offer refills for their core fragrances. Purchasing refills allows you to reuse the ornate glass bottles rather than throwing them away.
