Repair cafe

Taking broken items to a free repair cafe is a great way to reduce your waste! By fixing what you already own and giving it a second chance to be useful, you can save it from landfill and help make the most of our valuable resources.

Repair cafes are run by skilled volunteers who have the knowledge and equipment to help fix and maintain a wide range of items that need mending. Simply find out when one is happening near you and bring along your items to see if they can be repaired by a friendly volunteer.

What is a Repair Café?

A Repair Café is an event for community members to bring in worn out or broken belongings to see if they can be repaired instead of thrown away. Volunteers share their time and skills to fix items as best as they can or provide advice.

Our Repair Café events are a friendly and welcoming space – a place to connect over a cuppa, learn about the art of repair and share stories about treasured pieces.

Join our Repair Share Care community as a volunteer!
