Shredded paper

Loose shredded paper is not accepted in the yellow recycling bin. This is because the pieces of paper are too small to be processed effectively at the recycling facility. In order to recycle shredded paper, it can be enclosed in a paper bag, envelope, or cardboard box.

If you have a worm farm or composting system at home, shredded paper can be used as dry material.
