Takeaway containers

Scrape off excess food and give them a quick rinse before putting them in the bin. Takeaway containers made out of other materials, like polystyrene, waxed paper, or bioplastics go in the red bin. 

Reuse Tip: Take reusable containers with you when you next order takeaway. Many restaurants and cafes will be happy to serve food in suitable reusable containers. It saves money and reduces waste. Ensure your containers are perfectly clean and are made of a suitable material. For example, conductive materials like stainless steel might get too hot to hold.
