Great Southern Bioblitz 2024
Do you want to learn about native plants and animals in Glen Eira and participate in an international citizen science project to help scientists, schools and local communities protect local biodiversity?
It runs from Friday 20 September to Monday 23 September 2024 across the southern hemisphere. Glen Eira is one of 19 Melbourne councils taking part in the event.
It’s a great opportunity for southern hemisphere countries to document local plants, animals and other organisms and highlight local biodiversity to the world. It can also provide the opportunity to find new species and discover new facts about known species, such as observing them in places where they have never been recorded before.
