The Parbin-ata Louisa Briggs Award is open to women who live or work in the City of Glen Eira, who have made a significant contribution to reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in the community.
Parbin-ata Louisa Briggs was a remarkable woman who ensured the continual connection to Boon Wurrung Country – enabling her descendants to maintain and celebrate their heritage.
The Parbin-ata Louisa Briggs Award will be presented at Louisa Briggs Day on Sunday 1 March at Mallanbool Reserve in Murrumbeena. You can find out more about that event over at What's on.

Conditions of entry
The Parbin-ata Louisa Briggs Award (Award) is being run by Glen Eira City Council (Council) in partnership with the Boon Wurrung Foundation.
- Subject to this section, a person is eligible to be nominated for the Award if they identify as female, and live or work in the City of Glen Eira.
- Council employees may not be nominated and may not submit a nomination.
All nominations must be submitted by Friday 21 February 2020.
