Duncan Mackinnon Reserve Athletic Track reconstruction
Category: Major Facilities
Funding amount: $250,000
Council's contribution: $750,000
The project will see the complete redevelopment of the regional athletics track at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve. This includes the removal of the existing track and installation of a redesigned new sandwich polyurethane synthetic surface and base.
Construction from September 2017 to January 2018.
King George Reserve Pavilion Female Facilities Redevelopment — Stage 1
Category: Female Friendly Facilities
Funding amount: $100,000
Council's contribution: $354,000
Council will redevelop the existing change and bathroom facilities at King George Reserve to provide modern female and accessible change areas and bathrooms. Works will also include the reconfiguring storage for clubs and refurbishment of some areas.
Construction proposed August 2017 to November 2017.
Glen Eira McKinnon Bowls Club Synthetic Green Project
Category: Minor Facilities
Funding amount: $100,000
This project involves the installation of a synthetic green on the present unplayable western grass green at Glen Eira McKinnon Bowls Club. The present eastern grass green will be offered back to Glen Eira City Council for incorporation into Joyce Park.
This project will be managed by the Glen Eira McKinnon Bowls Club. Works are required to be undertaken in 2017/18 financial year.
Council will continue to liaise with club as to the timing of the synthetic green works. This will inform the timing of the works to incorporate the eastern grass green into Joyce Park. Concept designs are currently being developed for community consultation in March 2017.
New Netball Courts at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve
Category: Minor Facilities
Funding Amount: $100,000
Council contribution: $374,441
This project will see the construction of two brand new netball/multi-sport courts and lighting at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve. The two new courts will be located to the west of the current courts in the open space area.
Construction from November 2017 to March 2018.

Last week Council approved a shortlist of potential purchasers for its three residential aged care facilities — Spurway, Rosstown and Warrawee.
