Council has partnered with Victoria Police, Neighbourhood Watch and the Neighbourhood House Network to develop the Living Safely Program. The Program aims to help reduce three of the most common crimes in Glen Eira — theft of items from cars, car theft and home burglary.
The Program’s Crime Prevention Kit provides practical steps that you can take to help:
The Crime Prevention Kit contains a home security checklist and a wheelie bin sticker containing crime prevention messages to remind residents and their neighbours to lock their homes and cars.
To order your free Crime Prevention Kit or to find out more about the Living Safely Program, visit www.gleneira.vic.gov.au/crimeprevention
In an emergency, for urgent police attendance, call Triple Zero. Emergencies include any situation which may threaten the safety of yourself, others and/or property.
For all non-urgent crimes and events (suspicious activity, reporting past crimes), call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
