NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC Week (7 to 14 July) celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We are experiencing delays to our bundled branch collections (including the collection of Christmas trees) due to many bookings over the holiday period. If your scheduled collection has been impacted, please leave it on your nature strip and it will be collected as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and apologise for any delays.

The Story of Big Frog mural, a much-loved community project, was created in 2020/2021 by artist Anthony Breslin in collaboration with the Caulfield Rotary Club, Murrumbeena Traders Association, and the local community.
Council supported the project with a community grant that part funded this vibrant addition to Murrumbeena.
While the mural’s removal last year was disappointing for the community, we were not involved in the decision to remove it and we do not believe it to be an act of vandalism.
We’ve been actively engaging with stakeholders since the removal and are exploring options to relocate the original tiles, in part or in full, to a new location within the Murrumbeena community.
Council is committed to exploring options for this important piece of community art and will continue working with Anthony Breslin to endeavour to find a new home for the mural, whether in full or in part. Stay tuned for updates as we progress.
