This year marks 60 years of Amnesty International fighting for human rights across the globe.
To celebrate this milestone, buildings across Victoria, including Glen Eira Town Hall, will be lit up in yellow on the
evening of Friday 10 December.
Glen Eira Mayor Cr Jim Magee said through education and training, Amnesty International helps people claim their rights — and by telling people’s powerful stories, it mobilises millions around the world to campaign for change.
“The lighting of Town Hall in yellow is a small gesture to show our support for Amnesty International and the action it is taking for human rights around the world,” he said.
