Training opportunities for community groups and organisations

We are offering two webinars and one online training course free of charge. This exciting opportunity is for staff, volunteers, committee and board members of community groups and organisations.

Webinar one — Managing finances

Wednesday 21 August, 12pm to 1pm

At this webinar, you will learn what a committee/board member should know about finances:

  • What should you have in place?
  • What are your legal obligations?
  • How to budget and how this links to cash flow.
  • What financial information you should be seeing as a committee/board member.
  • What questions should you ask (and understand)?

Webinar two — Legal issues for community organisations

Thursday 29 August, 12pm to 1pm

At this webinar, you will learn what your committee/board should be doing for you and what your roles mean:

  • What is your legal structure and what does it mean?
  • What are your legal obligations?
  • What should you know as a new committee/board member?
  • What should be in place to make new committee/board members welcome?
  • Frequently asked questions (and responses).

Online course — Step in, step up

Open until December 2019

This course is an induction or refresher for committee/board members.

Discover everything a new committee/board member needs to know.

The course takes less than an hour. Once registered, you have 30 days to finish the online course and on completion, you will receive a certificate.
