Instead of being sent to landfill where they rot and contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, food scraps recycled in the green bin become compost that is used on Victorian farms, parks and gardens.
Compostable liners aren't accepted in the green bin. If you wish to bag your food scraps, you can use brown paper bags, newspaper, or paper towel.
