Cats & Dogs and Yayoi Kasuma @ NGV

Tuesday 8 April

For our exhibition enthusiast we will be heading down into the city to tour the Cats & Dogs and Yayoi Kasuma exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. Cats & Dogs as explained is a fine collection of various media and art pieces of our feline and canine companions throughout history to now.

Yayoi Kasuma one of the worlds most renowned artists for her polka dotted designs and flowery sculptures, captivates and inspires an audience. Covering various forms of art across paintings, sculptures, fashion, film and much more this exhibition is for all art lovers.

Time: 10am to 3pm
What to bring: Water bottle, snacks, lunch, MYKI card

Candle Making

Wednesday 9 April

Keen to find a creative new hobby that allows you to venture with colours, scents and textures? Candle making is a super fun and creative way to spend your school holidays! You get to make your own candles by melting wax, adding colours and scents, and pouring it into molds. You can even decorate your candles with glitter or dried flowers! It’s a cool way to be hands-on, get artsy, and make something unique.

Time: 10am to 1pm

What’s SUP?

Thursday 10 April

Join us at St Kilda Pier for a chill morning as we paddle across the beach….standing up. Love being near the water? Well, this activity is for you. Stand up paddle boarding is quick and easy to pick up and is for all ages. With the water under your feet you’ll find that you have the perfect viewpoint to observe amazing creatures swimming and moving about below you.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own wetsuit or rash vest and boardshorts/swimming shorts.

As stand-up paddle boarding is weather dependent Stand Up Paddle Boarding HQ will keep a close eye on the forecast live weather reports to make sure the activity is safe to run on the day.

Time: 9.30am to 12pm
What to bring: swimming gear (wetsuit, rash vest, board shorts etc), hat, water bottle

Bun-believable

Tuesday 15 April

Ever wondered what a healthier version of your beloved burgers from McDonalds, KFC, and Hungry Jacks would look like? Join us for an interactive cooking class where we will be cooking our fast-food favourites but with a healthy twist. Kick back and relax afterwards as we will be watching a movie with our indoor theatre set up.

Time: 11am to 5pm

Art Attack

Wednesday 16 April

If arts and crafts is your jam, then this is the one for you. Come down the to the Bentleigh Youth Hub as we will be running an art workshop. Unleash your inner artist within and get creative with water painting, tote bag decorating and polymer clay crafting. Don’t miss out.

Bubble Soccer and Games

Thursday 17 January

Fan of playing soccer? Have you played it in a bubble? Get ready for some fast-paced action with bubble soccer. Bubble soccer is a unique, fun, and energetic twist of the world game. Player’s strap into a protective bubble and battle it out on an inflatable arena to score goals.

Other games we will be running include oztag, chicken run, flag grid iron, ultimate frisbee. Before getting active in the arvo participants will get the opportunity to lounge about with various board games, video games and other activities.

Time: 10am to 4pm
