Recognise. Reconnect. Reimagine. is the theme for National Volunteer Week.
To be held from 17 to 23 May, this year’s theme acknowledges that it is time to recognise, celebrate and thank volunteers for the vital role they play; reconnect to what is important by giving our time to help others, our local community or a cause we value; and reimagine how we better support volunteers and the organisations they help.
To celebrate National Volunteer Week we are inviting volunteers and volunteer managers in Glen Eira to submit a short video sharing their thoughts on this year’s theme. Tell us about why it’s important you give your time to help others and your local community or how you celebrate and thank volunteers.
Your video will be shown at our volunteer recognition event in May. It will also be uploaded to our Volunteers for Glen Eira web page.
So get your phone out and take a video today. Send your video to volunteering@gleneira.vic.gov.au by Friday 9 April. For further information, visit our volunteering page.

Despite reported issues with SKM recycling facilities and major disruptions in the recycling industry, Council’s recycling service remains unaffected and recyclables from our waste services are not going to landfill.
