Council has been successful in securing $500,000 towards the upgrade of Bentleigh Hodgson Reserve as part of the Victorian State Budget 2022–23.
State Member for Bentleigh Nick Staikos MP attended the Reserve on Tuesday evening with Glen Eira Mayor Cr Jim Magee and members of the Bentleigh Football Netball Club to make the announcement.
Cr Jim Magee welcomed the funding and said this will be a great boost for Glen Eira, providing more opportunities for community sport and recreation to be held at the Reserve.
“Projects like this are made even better with the support of the State Government and we look forward to working with local sporting clubs and the community on the upgrade” he said.
Council thanks the State Government for the generous contribution to this project.

Despite reported issues with SKM recycling facilities and major disruptions in the recycling industry, Council’s recycling service remains unaffected and recyclables from our waste services are not going to landfill.
