Play space upgrades now complete

Whatever your style of play, recent play space upgrades at Harleston Park in Elsternwick, McKinnon Reserve in McKinnon and Duncan Mackinnon Reserve in Murrumbeena offer many exciting opportunities for everyone.

At Harleston Park, the most important part of the redevelopment for local play adventurers is a new and improved version of Glen Eira’s biggest straight slide. Other play features include an acorn cubby house, a double tower for climbing and looking out below, a five-way swing, lots of speedy slides, a spinner and a three-point basketball court.

Additional upgrade works also include an upgraded public toilet facility and a new shelter and barbecue area.

At McKinnon Reserve, you can bring Peter Pan or Tinkerbell alive as you climb the one-of-a-kind tree house.

You can climb the lookout tower, ride the flying fox like Tarzan, and swing, slide or rock your way through the rest of the park. A new public toilet facility for the Reserve has also been constructed alongside the new playground and the existing picnic shelter.

The play space at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve in Murrumbeena had seen its last sliding adventure.

The new green and grey play space features many new play opportunities including slides, swings, climbing ropes, monkey bars, rockers and interactive play panels.
